How does your Basic FREE account work?

Our Basic FREE account gives you a certain amount of credits per month FREE. Once you have used all your credits issued to you for that month, you may purchase additional credits in your account under My Profile. You may use the tracks you’ve downloaded in as many projects as you want, no needle drop fees. That’s it! We want to make music licensing with us quick and easy for you.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Go to your user account, go to My Profile, click “edit subscription status.” Select Basic FREE to end subscription payments. Basic FREE is a free account.

With Basic FREE, how many times can I use the tracks I have downloaded?

You have unlimited uses and you get as many needle drops as you wish.

How can I obtain a blanket license from Playtunes Music?

Our Unlimited Monthly/Yearly offers unlimited downloads and uses in perpetuity, world-wide, no extra fees. Download and use as many times as you like as long as you are paying the monthly/yearly fee. If you cancel, you are no longer allowed to use the music you have downloaded in any new projects.

Subscriptions: I have reached my credit limit for the month, how can buy more credits or upgrade?

To buy more credits: go to your user account, go to My Profile, click “buy more credits.” To upgrade: go to your user account, go to My Profile, click “edit subscription status.” There you will find different subscriptions options. If you are upgrading, in the middle of your subscription time, the new subscription will get pro-rated.

Subscriptions: how many times can I use the tracks I have downloaded?

Download once, use forever as long as you are a paying subscriber. After a period of time you can build up a library of songs from us and never have to pay extra fees as long as you are paying a subscription. If you cancel, you are no longer able to use the tracks you have downloaded or acquired in any way from Playtunes Music.

Subscriptions: I’ve paid for an Unlimited Subscription, can I download as many tracks as I want?

Yes and no, for security reasons we a download cap of 300 per month. If you need more all you have to do is ask us and we will grant you more downloads.

Basic FREE: I haven’t used all my credits for the month, do they roll over into the next month?

No, but if you do not use all of your credits in any given month, more credits will be issued to you for free in the next month.

What are the conditions for use?

Our music must be incorporated into your production (such as an audio or video production, website, app, computer game, slide-show, etc..) You cannot give our music away or resell it on it’s own. For example, you couldn’t sell music CD or DVD with our music on its own. But you could create and sell an instructional CD or DVD that includes our music in the background mixed with your own voiceover.

You cannot claim intellectual rights for our music, even if you re-edit, add to it, or manipulate it. It is okay to re-edit, loop, and otherwise manipulate our music. But even after doing so, you can’t claim any intellectual rights for the new music that is created. You can use our music as background music for your audio books, training tapes, or other productions, but you cannot claim any intellectual rights to the music itself.
