Dan Weniger founded Playtunes Music in 2011 because he saw an opportunity to simplify and modernize a needlessly complicated and antiquated industry. Playtunes is designed to give clients simple and effective access to the music they need, quickly. As an artist himself, Dan is committed to building the most artist-friendly music library in the business.
Dan studied Film Scoring & Composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Now based out of Los Angeles, Dan has worked as a composer for film and television for the past decade. Dan has written thousands of tracks for major music licensing companies, as well as writing custom music for film and television. His music has been featured on CBS, ABC, FOX, TBS, National Geographic, Discovery (health), A&E, and The WB. Including such shows as: SportsCenter, Without A Trace, Dancing With the Stars, Access Hollywood, Fox Sports and many more.
A guitar specialist, Dan enjoys playing a variety of styles, including classical, flamenco, bluegrass and blues. His interest in world music has colored both his own compositions and his vision for Playtunes as a worldwide music library.
